How teams switchFrequently asked questions
Are Deckcell charts images?
No. Bars, labels, lines and axes are native PowerPoint or Google Slides shapes. The chart’s datasheet is stored with it, so you can select the chart later and change the numbers.
Which apps does Deckcell run in?
PowerPoint for Windows, PowerPoint for Mac, PowerPoint on the web and Google Slides. A companion Excel add-in links worksheet ranges to charts. See what works where.
Can it use my company’s colours and fonts?
Yes. Load a style file with your colours and font, and every chart and template follows it. The deck check flags anything off-palette and fixes it in one click.
Can charts update from Excel?
Yes. Link a range to a chart once, then click Update links to redraw every linked chart on the slide or in the whole deck.
Is Deckcell a copy of think-cell?
No. Deckcell is an independent product built from scratch. It covers similar chart types and adds layout tools, templates and deck checks, in more apps. Read the comparison.
What can’t Deckcell do yet?
Drag handles on the slide itself. Add-in platforms don’t allow custom on-slide handles, so you edit charts in the side pane.
